Clad in leather and armor, the tall Midlander wields a greatsword even larger than he is. Emhyr is unkempt and messy, not putting much effort into his appearance. His chin-length dark hair is haphazardly cut with a knife and streaked with grey — styled in a small, messy ponytail with some loose strands falling out. Set under strong, furrowed brows, Emhyr's eyes are dark and dead, a deep red that is almost black. His face is shadowed with stubble and has a few scars. The myriad scars that litter his body are deep and brutal — more than any normal person should have been able to surivive — and are hidden beneath layers of clothing and armor. Given his choice of weaponry, Emhyr has a strong, solid build, developed by years of training by his mentor.

◈GREATSWORD◈ The greatsword wielded by Emhyr is longer than he is tall. He swings this metal slab of a sword with ease — decades of training and combat have made fighting with such a weapon as natural as breathing. The sword is worn, but well cared for — Emhyr puts plenty of work into maintaining his weapon.◈FISTS◈ Hand-to-hand combat is no stranger to Emhyr. He's been in — and caused — plenty of bar fights, and he knows how to throw his weight around to his advantage.◈DARK ARTS◈ Most who encounter Emhyr would assume his skills stop at swordplay. However, decades of training have given him a deep control and mastery of the dark arts, using it to enhance and supplement his combat skills. He has no formal training in magic, and would likely be unable to pick up practices such as conjury or thaumaturgy — but his skill in the dark arts is not to be underestimated.

In the past, Emhyr donned the preferred armor of the Dark Knight: heavy plate mail, strong protection to make up for the lack of a shield. While out doing his 'work', the dark, shadowy, faceless figure he presented was talked about in hushed whispers.While on Clan hunts, as well as in recent years, Emhyr is much more lightly armored. Forgoing the plate mail, he instead opts for tough leather and thick cloth - the most armor he wears is a pauldron and greaves.
